Powerful truths from Passion 2016 –

January 18, 2016

Passion Conference took place at the beginning of this month, and drew 40,000 college students from 1,500 universities and 47 nations at three locations simultaneously. Passion is a college aged movement that began in 1995 by Pastor Louie Giglio, who also pastors Passion City Church in Atlanta, and some of the best known worship songs in the Church today have sprung out of the movement.
We also recently interview Louie Giglio on our 5 Leadership Questions podcast here.
Here are some of the powerful truths that were shared during the most recent gathering:

Our calling is not to stay alive, but to stay in love with Jesus. -John Piper

The message of the empty tomb is, come and see what God has done, not come and see what you must do. -Louie Giglio

The power to go from victim to victor is contained in three words: He is risen! -Louie Giglio

Don’t let what was done to you, be bigger than what Jesus did for you. -Christine Caine

Could it possibly be that the highest thing you or I could attain to is to be called a servant of the Lord? -Christine Caine

The most powerful weapon in the world is truth. -Ravi Zacharias

Death either takes you to your treasure or away from it. -Levi Lusko

Suffering is not an obstacle, but an opportunity to be used by God. -Levi Lusko
